Bellingrath Gardens - 250,000 Azaleas
A quarter of a million azaleas in full bloom are pretty spectacular. Here’s a look at this outstanding display garden in full, glorious spring bloom.

Loved the long shots! I thought the 7′ tall ones in my daughter’s yard in Austin Tx. were rhodos. Now I think maybe they are azaleas. How do you tell the difference?

Just absolutely so beautiful. Azaleas are one of the reasons I love living in the state of South Carolina. Even the most down trodden shack is glorious in spring when this wonderful plant blooms. I must add a picture or two of my own yard to your site. LB

The video will stop and start if there’s a lot of traffic on the site. Too many gardeners and not enough bandwidth. (or a slow connection at the viewer’s end of things will also do the same thing).
And yes, Bellingrath is not in Canada (Alabama).

Mary - There is no difference now between Azalea and Rhododendron - they’re all one big happy botanic family.

I agree with Duane.
The video kept stopping and ended up waiting a minute or 2 for it to continue.
The flowers are gorgeous though!
And to think, we too can grow them! All we have to do is move to Alabama!

Loved it! Beautiful gardens! Azaleas grow in Muskogee, Oklahoma, too! About the video stopping and starting, my husband taught me this: If the video stops and starts, let it run completely through (leave the computer to do something else). Then start it over. It works fine for us the second time.
